VOICE
I want my words to have a home.
Throwing them into a sea of scrolling posts on social media, where they get swept away and drowned out, no longer appeals to me. It feels negligible and unintentional.
And I want what I share, why I share it, and who I share it with to be purposeful.
So…. without further ado: Welcome, Reader. You don’t mind if I call you “Reader,” do you? It just feels personal for me. Intimate. As if it’s just the two of us here: me (the Writer) and you (the Reader). Having a chat. Getting to know one another.
And, trust me, you will get to know me. Because I’m going to be honest — sometimes brutally and painfully honest.
The Voice page will house my honesty.
It will be an outlet for my creative writing. And creative writing can look like many things depending on my day, mood, the weather, my surroundings…. anything, really.
Sometimes, you may see poems or abstract stanzas. Other days, you may read a short story or an essay. On an (albeit: rare) occasion, you may see a blog post or my thoughts on a current event.
So, be prepared for anything and everything on the Voice page.
I will whisper. And I will roar.
